In 2008, the company Papeterie Schreibweise was founded with a tiny shop in Westphalia, more precisely in Dortmund. The shop is located in the popular Kreuzviertel district of Dortmund and is a absolutly manufacturer. From the specially crafted furniture to the self-built lamps and stationery items. In this lovingly designed store in the style of a Wilhelminian living room, you can admire, browse, select and buy products of special quality in a suitable ambience.
Schreibweise started with purchased goods. A carefully selected range, such as special writing instruments, exclusive stationery, special office accessories, high-quality leather cases and bags and of course a remarkably large selection of Italian decorative paper.
Always on the lookout for new things to make the range more extensive and interesting, we initially looked for a special photo album. But the search was unsuccessful. So we got to work and made a photo album according to our ideas. This gave rise to the concept of offering hand-crafted individual pieces and custom-made products from our own production.
Today, Schreibweise only offers handmade products from our own production. In this small factory, ideas are collected and implemented, discarded and rethought. Every single product is made by hand from start to finish and is therefore of particular value. Here, everything is cut, glued, laminated, pressed, packaged and shipped. At Schreibweise, projects to beautify everyday life are matured, which are turned into useful and stylish stationery items with the greatest care and craftsmanship and artistic skill. The most beautiful and interesting papers are selected from a variety of papers, the design, material and function are considered, and then these beautiful manufactured items are made from them.
Our paper comes from Bella Italia, where else? All other materials are sourced from regional sources for reasons of quality and environmental awareness. We also handle the everyday tasks that are necessary for the business in the background, such as cutting the individual parts of the ordered products or running and maintaining the online shop, all of these things ourselves.
Everything is made in one place and from one source, or rather from four hands. It is therefore natural for us that the production of these stationery products can only begin in exactly this way:
